Eagles are the birds that can be seen most frequently in region of Eurasia
and Africa. Apart from these areas some species of eagles such as (Bald and
Golden Eagles) are found in the areas of North America and South America and
few are in Australia. Eagles are large in size and have powerful build in comparative
to other birds. They have broad and light wings and strong legs and very large
powerful hooked beak by means of which it helps them to tear the flesh very
easily.
Eagles are having very excellent and potential sense of eyesight and can see
their prey from a great distance. The most powerful eagle is the "Harpy
eagle" and can easily grab a monkey weighing 5 kg and efficiently fly with
it. Eagles can live up to a maximum life span of 30-40 years depending upon
the species. Eagles build their nests on the top of tall trees or on the top
of the mountain cliff and most of the species of eagles lay two eggs.
Eagles do have its own territory, eagles attacks the predators entering into
their areas especially while female eagle is nesting. In todays time,
eagles have been used by many nations as national symbol, expressing power and
for the symbol of beauty also. Eagles are also central to many religious and
spirituals customs in many nations especially in USA and Canada.
